Well most of readers miss understood about Putera MIC and its function in contributing in society. Ok i will let you all know some information about Putera MIC.

Putera MIC is youth organization under Malaysian Indian Congress specially for Putrans (Boys) who have strong educational background to help the society and Indian people. Since Putera MIC had launched, we had run many programs like Ponggal festival, youths program, seminar ,talk shows specially for the benefits of our Indian teenagers. We are social - centered in helping Indian community. (Hardprove can be viewed in Putera Web site, Gallery section)

Our main focus is to bring most effective idea to be implemented and at same time contribute to Indian teenagers and society.Putera also playing an important role to train all putera members to be an idealistic and capable leader one day.Here is some of our Aims, Mission and vision.

Aim

• To enlist young Malaysian Indians between the ages 18 to 30, to harness their energies towards socio-political action through Putera MIC, a network of young Malaysian Indians.
  

Objectives

• To establish a strong network among community leaders to identify potential young people who can be enlisted into the Putera MIC
  

• To organize leadership workshops to groom young Malaysian Indian leaders for socio-political action.


• To create a network amongst young graduates and professionals and provide advice on career development and employment opportunities.


• To encourage all MIED loan recipients, AIMST and TAFE students and alumni to play an active role in community upliftment through Putera MIC

MIC! For 50 years you have failed to champion for ... "1. Citizenship for Malaysia born Indian permanent residents. It's unfair to them, born here but alienated. ( Putera MIC Replied : All Mic Branch had already performing this task, Some of Putera Members helped to register IC's & birth cert for indians ) 2. Stop the delaying/denying business licences, harassment by local council enforcement and demanding unfair share in businesses. (Putera MIC Replied : Will posted it soon) 3. Start partially government funded skill based centres for those who are academically retarded. (Putera MIC Replied : MIC had build Tafe ,MIED, Amist, college to train the students from all kind of skills.The only Political party in Malaysia who own 3 Private University.) 4. Make it a point to meet up people in areas and get first hand feedback. Organise social events, get the government to fund it. (not cultural shows with song and dance, it defeats the purpose).(Putera MIC Replied : MIC Leaders , Dato Seri S Samly Velu,Had visiting all MIC branch to branch, and even Meeting with people) 5. Investigate, why indians are not in the sports. We used to dominate. There is isolation and discrimination in school level till the national level.( Putera MIC replied : Most of Indian teenagers, specially guys, more interest with football, please see other sports like Malaysian Hockey club, even in Football they are much enough Indian in football club. In Malaysia, We are not involved in sport as full time) 6. Demand funds to enhance Tamil schools as the people are starting to send to Tamil as the National school is discriminative. Bring back Peoples own Language (POL) and drop Pendidikkan Moral. The government allocated a huge amount for education." (Putera MIC replied : From last year till now, 41 Tamil school had been build with Ministry of Education's help and Twenty-three Tamil schools will be rebuilt soon under a package at a cost of RM20 million)
